AREAS OF SPECIAL FOCUS
I enjoy working with individuals, couples, adolescents, college aged students and groups for issues such as, but not limited to:
A SEASONED COUNSELOR
People often come to therapy to seek relief from emotional pain they are experiencing due to a recent change in their life or from something that they went through in their past that has had a profound impact on their daily lives.
As a therapist, my desire is to offer individuals, couples, and children the opportunity to digest this emotional pain in order to feel heard, understood, and seen. I want to offer a space of support, understanding, shamelessness, and hope. |
COMMITTED TO MINISTRY
I was raised in a Christian home and committed my life to Jesus at the age of nine years old. I’ve had the privilege of serving in church ministry throughout much of my life. I remember as a young adolescent choosing 1 Timothy 4:12 as my life verse, “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love in faith and in purity.”
As a college student, I enjoyed serving as an elementary Sunday school teacher and working with teens in the high school ministry. As a young married woman, my husband and I served in the college and young adult ministry at our church and led a group for young married couples. During this period of time we started to do some pre-marital counseling, and I quickly realized my desire to work with couples and come alongside them in their marriage. When I became a mother, my passion for helping the local children and families in our own community became second nature. My passion for all people to know their value and worth have developed and grown throughout the years, and I have always tried to seek the help of the Holy Spirit to guide me in helping those around me who are broken and hurting. |
COMMITTED TO FAMILY
I have been married to my husband since 2006. We have children ranging from toddler age to teenagers. I value the importance of my marriage and family and have worked hard to make them my number one commitment.
