- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist - LMFT

- Associate Marriage and Family Therapist - AMFT

3. Required Hours, Staff Meeting and Supervision
If you are an associate supervised by the TPC provided supervisor, you must attend group supervision each Wednesday 9:00 am – 11:00 am by video. For Individual Supervision, this will not apply to you. A required staff meeting for Licensed Therapists and Associates is on the first Wednesday of every month in Fullerton from 10:30 am – 11:30 am. On staff meeting days, supervision will also be held in Fullerton.

4. Vacation and Time Off -You must be able to work the first 6 months without any vacation or time off.
5. Availability
Therapists must be available a minimum of 20 hours per week for client appointments. This can be broken up anyway into 7 days. This will most likely be accomplished by early to evening appointments and working on Saturday.
Note: We are not opposed to you developing a daytime caseload. We would like you to begin your time with TPC with hours of availability where clients seem to be the most eager to come in for counseling, which is usually in the evenings (3 pm – 8 pm).

Are you willing to do all your out-patient counseling as an employee of TPC? TPC Therapists are not allowed to do any out-patient counseling at other agencies to avoid conflict of interest.
Are you willing to commit to a minimum of eighteen (18 months) for your employments experience at TPC? (Note: It takes considerable effort and resources to bring up your caseload. This allows for a realistic time frame to help you generate your hours for licensure and employment as a licensed therapist.
This is NOT a 1099 position. You will be on staff at TPC as a W2 employee.

- After 1st full year you are eligible for: 2 weeks; (non-consecutive, must be taken in separate months)
- After 2nd year of employment you are eligible for: 3 weeks; (2 weeks consecutive, 1 week separate and in different month)
- All vacation and time off is NON-paid time and must be PRE-approved

6. Caseload
- Are you self-motivated and willing to work on building your own caseload? You will be responsible for building your own caseload. We will assist you in this effort.
- TPC's first goal is a minimum of 12 counseling sessions per week. Are you willing to commit to developing and reaching this goal in 3-6 months? Time may vary depending on your focus in the process.
- Do you have the means to meet your financial obligations during your period of growth? (This could take up to 1+ years) Are you able to be financially stable for this amount of time?
7. Practical Requirements
- Therapists must acquire malpractice insurance and always keep it current.
- A cell phone
- A computer or laptop
- Internet Access
- Access to a printer
- Ability to do video calls – web cam or smart phone.
- To do Teletherapy, it is recommended to use a webcam not a cell phone.
- Teletherapy should be no more than 50% of your client sessions. Most clients prefer face to face therapy.
- Microsoft Office 2013 or above
- Adobe Acrobat Reader
- Clients must be able to reach you by phone. You may use your personal number or use a Virtual number such as google voice, grasshopper, etc.…
