WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LICENSED & PRE-LICENSED?
A Registered Associate is a therapist with a Master's degree who is working towards becoming licensed. They have weekly supervision with a seasoned Licensed therapist and are required to earn 3,000 hours of counseling hours to receive their license. They are fully trained, experienced professionals before they are hired at Turning Point Counseling and are completely able to provide the services that we offer. Associates are a vital part in the mental health community; they provide professional psycho-therapeutic services for individuals, couples, and families in need of counseling at lower fees.
Licensed Therapists are Master's level therapists who have completed this process and earned their license. They have a higher credential and therefore have a higher fee than a Registered Associate. If your counseling is court mandated, you are required to see a Licensed Therapist.
Turning Point Counseling highly recommends each and every one of our well trained therapists.
