My expertise lies in working closely with individuals and couples, from short-term crisis management to longer-term interventions. Drawing on the tenets of evidenced-based practices, such as cognitive behavior, trauma-focused, dialectical behavior, object relations, attachment-based, and psychodynamic therapies, I tailor my approach to my clients’ specific needs and assist in improving symptoms, relationships, self-image, communication, and coping strategies. I have significant experience with recovery including, but not limited to, drug, alcohol, pornography, and sex addiction; anger; and codependency and can reassure you that a sustained recovery is possible. I will support you in identifying what interferes with your personal goals and aspirations, individual or relational, assisting you in developing and realizing your plan for healing that is anchored in hope.

I was raised Lutheran but walked away from God and the church in my early teens, I returned to a relationship with Jesus 20 years ago with a new understanding, commitment and passion and I have been committed ever since. I have been a member and serving in multiple facets of ministry and leadership, including but not limited to Lay counseling, Celebrate Recovery, Single Parent ministry, and Men’s ministry. I have been a small group leader and facilitator for divorce recovery, financial peace, and blended family ministries. After volunteering as security I was hired and have been on staff with a church for 3 years while completing my education.

COMMITTED TO FAMILY
|
I believe that great marriages and relationships don’t happen by luck or by accident, they are the result of a consistent investment of time, thoughtfulness, forgiveness, respect, and prayer and that any marriage can be saved. My parents were married over 60 years before my father passed; my sister just celebrated 50 years of marriage and my brother over 40. I have had the misfortune to personally witness and experience the trauma of divorce and its rippling effects on children, family, friends and everything it touches. This was a strong motivating factor for me changing careers at this stage in life, to advocate for reconciliation and restoration and mental health awareness and education. I am motivated to help heal wounds, rebuild trust and intimacy, and resolve conflict in a way that builds not destroys. I am a proud father of a wonderful 28-year-old son who is currently serving in the armed forces as a Navy Corpsman/Combat Medic stationed in Hawaii with his wife, who is also serving our country in the US Air Force. I am also a bonus dad to a 7 year old rescue Chow Chow mix named Sadie.

PRICING & INSURANCE
|
Gregory's standard rates are $180 per session for couples and $160 per session for individuals. He offers a sliding scale where the price is based upon the client's monthly household net income so it can be lowered down if the client's income qualifies. Gregory is an out of network provider and does not directly bill insurance. He can provide clients with a superbill to submit for reimbursement through their insurance company.
